• slaggardly updating due to fucktons of work from many angles, I should’nt even be typing this really when you consider what is currently in my ical, blahaha
• ordered a crappy digital camera, finally. I don’t even remember what model number it is or how many “mega” pixels it has. I can definitively say that it will take pictures and probably fit in my pocket without irritating my ass and/or groin, and this you see is the main thing.
• walked to the doctor today and he decided my heart was too crazy so he had his nurse frankenstien 18 different sensors to various parts of my body so a machine could spew out an elaborate graph. he looked at this and said “mm-hmmmm.”
• if I lived in brooklyn right now I would be eating good food. since I live in troy I am eating a 1/2-lb bag of swedish fish and drinking a 16oz coffee from “stewarts”, which is an amazing store that also sells gas and ice cream.
• it’s really nice if you stand in the exact center of a large bridge over a river and stare directly into its lapping heart, but it’s dead impossible to convince yourself that it’s actually the ocean. but it’s nice, especially with the right music on headfones.
• the VJ for the beastie boys on their current tour is using software whose interface was designed by me. I guess that’s cool, right? cool would actually be if I moved out of troy and hung out with my real friends but in lieu of that I can console myself with the fact that the artistic apostles of a big act are benefiting from my work, right? I dunno. you tell me.
• as much as I like ben gibbard, I get kinda grossed out when I listen to “recycled air” and he talks about “teenage lovers between the sheets”, cuz he’s got to be what, 35 at least, right? kinda gross. ok.
• landscape architecture is better than just plain architecture architecture at RISD, at least for my apparent purposes, this character was kind enough to point this fact out to me, which was actually corroborated perfectly by the info in the “all about RISD” brocure I have, but I hadn’t read it cuz the landscape architecture part is printed in small white serify something on some sort of cinnamon-brown articulated background, like a photo of some cardboard elevation model. that’s all kind of amusing. sometimes I feel like the manner in which I make important decisions about my future might be enhanced by some random coinflipping, or maybe reading bones, cuz it feels random as FUUUUUCK sometims. yes.
• it is so easy to hate everyone these days. I walk down the street and I hate all over everyone I see. is that bad? terrible? diagnosably misanthropic? I dunno, people just drive me crazy. upon reflection I think this is just troy. I walked over that bridge this morning and on the other side of the bridge, I saw some people and I did not hate them, and that bridge separates the municipality of watervliet from the city of troy, so yeah, there you go.
