Course Description
This course will cover the latest methods of web design, development, and production including standards-based XHTML, CSS, Javascript and media integration. From beginners to those with more experience, students will learn the most current techniques for planning, designing, building and testing a fully-functioning website.
Attendance
Class attendance is mandatory. Three [3] unexcused absences will result in failure of the course, with no credit received. Excused absences require notification to the instructor BEFORE class meeting, via phone or email. Should you know that you will miss class, you must arrange to hand in your assignment before the scheduled class time.

Please be on time. Class is scheduled to begin promptly at 12:30PM, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Late arrival and early departure will be noted and may impact your grade.
Evaluation
Students will be graded on attendance, class participation, quality of process, on-time delivery of work, presentation skills, and personal improvement during the course.

Every student is expected to come to each class prepared. Assignments, readings and other homework should be complete ON the day they are due. Late submission of work will result in a reduced letter-grade for each day the assignment is late.

Final grading will be based 75% on completed projects and 25% on participation, attendance, and overall contribution.
Technology
All students are responsible for the regular backup of their work. Data loss, for any reason, is not an excuse for late or missing work.

Note also that all students will be required to submit a CD containing all projects at the end of the course.
Resources
Materials, resources, and additional course information will be posted here, at this website, as the semester continues.
